Is it necessary to shave the head for an FUE hair transplant?
Yes, the only way to extract and re-implant the follicles is when the head is shaved. Because recovery from the FUE technique is so fast within 1-2 weeks there is no sign of the surgery even with a shaved head.

If you can’t shave your head please ask us if you are suitable for a mini-session of 100-200 follicles which enables you to hide the small shaved area.

How much does it cost?
The cost depends on how many follicles you need to cover the balding area of scalp, the doctor will need to see you to determine this. Please call us to reserve your free consultation and the doctor can tell you exactly, or request an online consultation via the website.

Is the procedure painful?
An FUE hair transplant is carried out under local anesthetic and once this has been administered the procedure is painless.

How long will I be in the clinic for the surgery?
Due to the highly skilled and intricate work involved in transplanting follicles one by one the surgery can take a long time. Smaller sessions can be completed in a day while bigger sessions may require two days.

When can I go back to work?
Due to the very small size of the instruments used the incisions heal very quickly and are usually unnoticeable within 1-2 weeks.

Is any special care needed after the procedure?
For the first few days after your hair transplant you will need to wash your hair in a special way to avoid dislodging the implanted follicles. We will also give you some medications to take etc. Full instructions will be given to you in writing before and after your procedure.

How soon does the hair grow?
The implanted hairs will fall out shortly after the procedure but this is completely normal. After 3 months they will begin to grow again and will gradually get stronger and thicker over the next 12 months.

Is everything included in the price?
Yes, the price includes everything including the medications we give you to take home and all the checkups for a year following the surgery.

Does the surgery leave scars?
There is no linear scar such as produced by the strip hair transplant method. The instruments used are less than one millimetre in size so patients can wear their hair very short afterwards with no visible marks.

Do the transplanted hairs ever fall out?
No, we use hairs from the area of the scalp unaffected by the balding process so they are resistant to the balding process.

I don’t live in Madrid, can you advise me about hotels to stay in near the clinic?
Yes of course, we will be happy to help you. If you are visiting from outside Spain the cost of your hotel is included in the cost of your surgery and we can arrange one for you within a 30 second walk from the clinic.
